Where are you based?: Los Angeles, CA
Introduce yourself!: I'm an old school artist who has been painting seriously for over 20 years and mostly full time for some years with a wide range of materials. I'm a little rough around the edges because I'm self taught, but I’m disciplined, resourceful, independent, and I learn quickly. I backpacked across the country and served as a monk and missionary for over 5 years so I'm simple, patient and I have an ecumenical spirit.
I love to study, discuss, brainstorm, and teach, and I cooperate well with others. I’ve curated successful group exhibitions with emerging artists and lately I've been learning networking skills and how to develop my own online marketing funnel. One thing that is unique about my painting style and the medium I use is that I'm extremely prolific. In fact, my ability to rapidly produce excellent art once earned me a free course at the Art Student’s League of New York.
I’m fresh out the monastery and I’ve already been accepted as a member of the LAAA, and painting live with some underground collectives. I love the concept of Rhizomatic Arts and I’m ready to do the needful to help out, whether that’s cooking, cleaning, lifting, writing, design, illustration, project management, teaching, promotion, counseling, or painting live. The only thing I ask in return is some help to refine my skills and my vision, and find or create the channels to sell art and make a difference.
I have a large van I can use to help with transport, and I'm always looking for odd jobs to earn a few extra bucks for jury fees, booth fees, etc.
